1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
2 1/2 Cups rolled oats
1/2 Cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup nuts
 

Preparation:

Cream frist 5 ingredients; add remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
