Preparation:
Cream butter and sugars until light. Add peanut butter and cream into first mixture. Add egg and beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add vanilla and dry ingredients to peanut butter mixture. Roll into small balls or form dough into rolls about 1 inch in diameter. This is easiest if dough is first wrapped in wax paper and chilled. Slice about 1/4-inch thick. Bake on greased baking sheets in moderate oven, 375 degrees, for 10 to 15 minutes. |
