Shrimp In Almond Sauce

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic puree
2 cups tomato puree
1/2 cup parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup blanched almonds
1 pound bay shrimp
 

Preparation:

Combine butter and oil in a saucepan, over a medium flame add onions and garlic; saute for 5 minutes, until tender stir in tomatoes and parsley season to taste with salt and pepper add sugar and almonds bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes add shrimp and stir to heat thoroughly serve hot, over rice
