Preparation:
NOTE: All microwave settings should be high.
Microwave the hot Italian sausage in a microwave-safe dish for 4 or 5 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove sausage and set aside reserve fat. Add the olive oil and garlic to the sausage fat and cook for 1 minute. Stir in onions, green pepper, parsley and basil. Cook for 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add the mushrooms and cook 2 more minutes. Stir in tomatoes, wine, and juice drained from clams. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Stir. Cook 5 minutes. Stir. Add sausage. Cook 5 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes and then add the chopped clams and salt. |
