Charleston Gumbo - Southern-Style

Ingredients:

2 slices bacon -- diced
1 cup white onion -- chopped
4 cups okra -- sliced
32 ounces tomatoes
4 medium fresh tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper -- to taste
1 dash worcestershire sauce
2 slices bacon -- diced
1 cup white onion -- chopped

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper -- to taste
1 dash worcestershire sauce
 

Preparation:

Fry the bacon and onion in a medium saucepan until browned. Drain off the fat, then add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 to 2 hours. 6 servings/Serving size: 3/4 cup
