Salisbury Steak With Onion Gravy

Ingredients:

1 large egg
2 cans condensed French Onion Soup -- undiluted/ divided
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup water
1 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
6 cups hot cooked egg noodles
1 bunch Chopped fresh parsley -- optional
 

Preparation:

In a large bowl, beat egg. Stir in 1/3 cup of soup, bread crumbs salt and pepper. Add beef; mix gently. Shape into six oval patties. Brown in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside; discard drippings. In the skillet, combine flour and water until smooth; add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and remaining soup; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Return patties to skillet. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Place patties and sauce in a ziplock bag and freeze. Defrost and heat. Serve patties and gravy over noodles. Garnish with parsley if desired.
