Glazed Onions

Ingredients:

2 cups water
1 pound pearl onions
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
 

Preparation:

heat water to a boil, over a moderate flame add onions, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, drain well heat butter in a skillet, over a low flame stir in sugar, water, and salt add onions, heat and stir for 5 minutes, until glazed serve hot
