Spicy Fruited Chicken

Ingredients:

2 pounds chicken parts
2 tablespoons salad oil
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup -- {10 3/4 oz.}
3/4 cup orange juice
1 cup sliced onion
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 tablespoons raisins
2 clove garlic
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 dash crushed saffron or ground turmeric
6 medium orange slices -- for garnish
 

Preparation:

1. Brown chicken in oil in skillet; pour off fat. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients except orange slices; cover and simmer 45 minutes, or until done, stirring occasionally. 3. Garnish with orange slices
