Chicken Paprika

Ingredients:

3 pounds chicken -- cut up
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup onion -- minced
1 cup mushrooms -- sliced
1 can tomato soup -- condensed
1/2 can water -- if needed
1 cup sour cream
1 whole bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
 

Preparation:

Lightly dust chicken with flour. Saut‚ quickly until browned. Remove from pan. Saut‚ onions and mushrooms until lightly browned. Blend in rest of ingredients, bring to a simmer. Add chicken, and simmer, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove bay leaf before serving.
