Sesame Herb Buns Or Sub Rolls

Ingredients:

4 cups flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dried basil -- crushed
1/2 teaspoon sage -- crushed
1 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
 

Preparation:

Process on dough cycle. Remove, shape into a ball and place in greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover, let rise till doubled, about 1 hour. Punch down, divide into 12 pieces. Cover, let rest 10 minutes. Shape each piece into an even circle or an oval, folding edge under. Press flat between hands. Place each on a greased baking sheet, press into a 3-12/ inch circle or 4-1/2 by 2-1/2 inch oval. Cover, let rise about 30 minutes. Brush tops with glaze(1 beaten egg yolk, 1 tablespoon water.) and sprinkle with 2-3 Tablespoons sesame or poppy seeds or both. Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes or till golden. Remove from baking sheet. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes 12 rolls.
