Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1 package yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or oleo
1/4 cup water
3 large eggs -- (4 if small)
4 1/3 cups flour
 

Preparation:

1. Heat milk and sugar, salt and butter in small pan until butter melts. Cool to lukewarm. 2. Sprinkle yeast into very warm water and stir until dissolved. Stir in cooled milk mixture and eggs. 3. Stir in flour until blended; beat vigorously with wooden spoon, 100 strokes or until dough is shiny-elastic, Cover with a towel and set in warm place. 4. Let rise until double (approximately 2 hours). 5. Stir down. Beat again with wooden spoon. Spoon into well greased Bundt or tube pan. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until about 1 inch from top of pan. 6. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes or until golden and gives a hollow sound. flemove from pan and cool on rack. Serve warm.
