Lemon Sauce With Angel Food Cake

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup healthy choice cholesterol free egg product
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
10 ounces packa angel food cake -- cut in 8 slices
4 cups assorted sliced fruit -- (such as kiwi, berries -- mandarin oranges or grapes)
 

Preparation:

1. In small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water, egg product and lemon juice. 2. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil and thickens. Let cool. 3. Top each cake slice with 1/2 cup fruit; drizzle with lemon juice.
