Ingredients:

12 ounces Chick Peas -- (Garbanzo), soaked overnight and drained
3 medium sized Potatoes - peeled and cut into even sized chunks
2 medium Onions -- sliced
1 medium Turnip -- sliced
2 medium carrots -- sliced
2 medium Leeks -- washed well and sliced
1 small Cabbage -- quartered
2 cloves crushed Garlic
1 teaspoon Paprika pepper
1 bunch Bouquet Garni -
2 sprigs Parsley
1 sprig Thyme Bay leaf tied together
1 pint Veg. stock
 

Preparation:

Place the Chick peas in a large pan and cover with enough stock to cover. Bring to the boil, then simmer until the chick peas are *almost* tender (1 hour?). Add the veggies, the bouquet Garni, the Paprika and some more of the veg. stock if you think it's required. Simmer for a further 30 minutes, remove the Bouquet Garni and serve. Great in a bowl with a hunk of w/w bre
