EASY CASSOULET

Ingredients:

1 package Pound polish or smoked sausa -- Diagonally sliced
15 ounces can of great northern -- Beans, drained
15 ounces can of kidney -- Beans, drained
15 ounces can of black -- Beans, drained
15 ounces can of tomato sauce
3 medium Carrots -- thinly sliced
2 small Onions -- thinly sliced and into rings
2 tablespoons Packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Dry red wine or beef broth
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh or
1 1/2 teaspoons Dried thyme leaves
2 Clove Garlic -- finely chopped
 

Preparation:

This dish thickens as it stands and can be thinned with a little wine. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients in ungreased 3-quart casserole. Cover and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until hot and bubbly and carrots are tender. To Microwave: Place carrots and red wine in 3-quart microwavabl casserole. Cover and microwave on high 5 minutes. Place sausage on carrots. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over top. Cover tightly and microwave on high 18 to 22 minutes, stirring after 12 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
