Sauteed Apples

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 medium firm apples -- cored, peeled, lengthwise slices
3 tablespoons brown sugar
 

Preparation:

Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over high heat and add the apples slices, tossing to coat. Brown lightly, turning, until tender, about 5 minutes. Pour off any liquid or fat and sprinkle brown sugar over all. Stir and toss lightly until well coated.
