Preparation:
*if using self-rising flour omit Baking soda and salt.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet. Mix flour, sugar, shortening baking powder, baking soda, salt, egg, milk, and vanilla thoroug Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into cereal an roll gently until completely coated. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Press a cherry into each cookie.
