Almond Toffee Bars

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups unsifted flour
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
3/4 cup cold margarine -- or butter
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 large egg -- beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract
6 bar milk chocolate covered toffee bars -- in small
1 cup slivered almonds
 

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 if using glass dish) 2. In a medium bowl, combine flour and icing sugar, cut in margarine until crumbly. Press firmly on the bottom of 13X9 in baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine condensed milk, egg, and almond extract
