Nutty Choco Snacks

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine -- softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup quick-cooking oats -- uncooked
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
1/4 cup unsalted sunflower kernels
 

Preparation:

Combine first ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Stir in oats and coconut. Press dough into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate morsels and sunflower kernels. Bake at 375 F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
