Preparation:
Per quart of cucumbers: 1 tbls salt
1 tbls alum
1 tbls pickling spices
Pack cucumbers in gallon jar with ingredients above and pour to the top with
vinegar. Cover and store at room temperature for 3 months.
After 3 months, pour off vinegar and slice cucumbers. Put cucumbers back
into gallon jar and mix 1 1/2 cup sugar per quart. Refrigerate. This will
make it's own juice and keep indefinitely in the refrigerato |
