Preparation:
Cook onion and sausage together in large pan until sausage is cooked. About 5 minutes. Add garlic. Cook 1 minute stir in jalapeno, bay leaf, cilantro, cumin, cayenne, salt and black pepper, black beans, tomatoes and broth. Partially cover and simmer 8-10 minutes. Puree 1/2 of soup in food processor. Add back to soup in pot. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
