Preparation:
(original recipe called for an additional whole egg and 1/4 cup prune puree
neither one of which and so I left them out but you can add if you like they
go in with the wet ingredients)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray. In
medium bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda. Microwave chocolate
and oil on high 1 min. Stir until melted and smooth.
In a large bowl combine egg whites and sugars. Beat on high 3 to 5 minutes.
Reduce to low and beat in melted chocolate, corn syrup and vanilla. Beat 1
minute. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Use 1 tbsp.
batter for eachcookie, leaving 2 inches between cookies. Bake 11 to 13
minutes, or until the centers just begin to set. Cool 2 minutes on wire
rack.
per cookie 82 cal, 2.2 g. ft.
Note: the calculations would be somewhat less without the egg. This makes a
good sized cookie. |
