Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated everywhere on March 17th by both Irish and non-Irish people. Parades, the wearing o' the green and an Irish feast are all customary on this day. A typical American favorite Irish dinner is corned beef & cabbage. An Irishman will probably tell you that he's never heard of this boiled beef with cabbage, but he'll gladly eat it with you nevertheless. Corned beef and cabbage was actually created by immigrants in New England, it is a variation of the famous New England boiled dinner. Another favorite meal is one that is all green - yes tinted green with food coloring.

One of the most popular beverages on St. Patrick's Day is green beer, which is simply beer with — you guessed it! — A liberal dash of green food coloring added. For beer drinkers in search of a more authentic Irish beverage, try Guinness. It's a powerful dark stout that's almost legendary!

Or you could opt for an Irish coffee. Which is a mix an one ounce of Irish whisky and a sugar cube in the bottom of a coffee mug. Then add coffee, and top with freshly whipped cream. Mmmmm . . . Just Remember that only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.
